Hot and Cold water issues
If you are experiencing hot and cold water issues you more than likely have a crossover issue. A plumbing crossover occurs when hot and cold water mix unintentionally, resulting in lukewarm water from cold taps, hot water in toilet tanks, or reduced hot water capacity. This phenomenon is primarily caused by faulty single-handle faucet cartridges (mixer valves) or defective shower valves, this issue can be diagnosed by testing individual supply lines. The runway for tap sets is about 10 to 15 years and we are now seeing more of these crossover issues. Attached below is a document that should help you recognize and resolve this issue.
